The U-185( )/G (M55074/1) is a cable mounted plug connector for use in 26-pair telephone communications. The U-185( )/G features the hermaphroditic 26-pair contact assembly, MX-3227( )/G (see below) and an environmentally resistant cast aluminum alloy with a flexible stain relief boot and protective storage cover. Typical applications are as the terminating connectors on the 26-pair telephone cable assemblies CX-4566( )/G and CX-4760( )/G. The U-185( )/G will mate with itself, as well as the U-186( )/G and the U-187( )/G connector assemblies.
The intended use of these connectors is for military telephone communication systems using 26-pair cable, telephone WM-130( )/G.
