The U-186( )/G (M55074/2) is a monolithic, through hole panel mounted receptacle connector for use in 26-pair telephone communications. The U-186( )/G features the hermaphroditic 26-pair contact assembly, MX-3227( )/G (see below) and an environmentally resistant cast aluminum alloy connector body with a protective storage cover. Typical applications include terminating connectors for 26-pair telephone communications in shelter applications. The U-186( )/G mates with the U-185( )/G connector assembly.
The intended use of these connectors is for military telephone communication systems using 26-pair cable, telephone WM-130( )/G.
